En 1990 el mexicano Oliver Fernández fue finalista de la Copa Bonfiglio (Internacional Juvenil de Italia). Ese año Oliver también protagonizó la final del internacional de Bélgica.

A nivel juvenil los tenistas mexicanos han sido brillantes, pero este año no vemos involucrados a compatriotas en el main draw de los torneos italianos, los cuales son de los más importantes de la gira europea.
