El capitán del seleccionado Copa Davis Leonardo Lavalle Moreno deberá tomar la decisión de enviar a los mejores a la combatir en Juegos Panamericanos y Copa Davis o formar en la rama varonil dos equipos porque las fechas están pegadas.

Los Juegos Panamericanos se protagonizarán del 11 al 16 de julio en el Canadian Tennis Centre de Toronto, mientras que la Copa Davis está programada del 17 al 19 de julio.

La pelea por las medallas se disputarán en individuales masculinos y femeninos, así como en dobles varonil, femenil y mixtos.
