El mexicano Santiago González ingreso a la cancha con tres polacos en duelo de primera ronda del US OPEN. Para fortuna de los mexicanos presentes Santiago resultó ganador y eso se festeja porque por lo menos en dobles un nacional tuvo éxito en una justa de trascendencia mundial.
