La infanta mexicana Lya Fernández avanzó a los 14 años a la semifinal de un ITF dotado con 15 mil dólares con sede en Cancun Tennis Complex.
Lya le ganó en buena lid a la francesa Sophia Biolay por 6-0, 6-3, lo cual representa un triunfo importante porque es la primera jugadora de 14 años que llega a una semifinal de una justa profesional.
