El gran veterano dominicano, Víctor Estrella, ya esta en la final del challenger de Monterrey, pues superó por 6-4, 6-4 al estadounidense de origen mexicano Ernesto Escobedo.

Estrella va por el cetro ante Thiemo de Bakker, quien se dio a conocer en México en la Copa Casablanca.

Thiemo derrotó a Paolo Lorenzi al son de 6-3, 6-1.
