Una  japonesa  de 42 años, Kimiko Date, fue la campeona del dobles del WTA de Monterrey.

Date hizo pareja con la fornida húngara Timea Babos y vencieron a la checa Eva Birnerova y la tailandesa Tamarine Tanasugarn por 6-1, 6-4.

 

Date ha sobrevivido porque ejecuta sus golpes con movimientos cortos y sabe cerrar las jugadas. A su edad esta como quiere.
